Here is my artefact 6 where I have placed my model of Norman Bel Geddes restaurant design in live footage of Nottingham's Market Square. However, due to the fact that the footage was not good enough quality, the effect wanted was not achieved.
Artefact 6 consists of the Norman Bel Geddes restaurant design being put into a real environment to see whether it gives the viewer a greater understanding of the scale and design of the building than previous artefacts.

In this artefact it is looking at whether having a textured model of Norman Bel Geddes restaurant design within a white environment gives a better perception of the buildings scale and design than the previous artefacts. The restaurant model was made in 3Ds Max and textured and lit with Vray. The environment was also modelled in 3Ds Max but was textured with ambient occlusion and lit with Mental Ray. The images have then been put together in Photoshop using alpha channels.
In this artefact it is looking at whether having a video of a camera moving round a model gives the viewer a greater understanding of the scale and design of the building. The model in this artefact is Norman Bel Geddes restaurant design which has been created in 3Ds Max, textured with ambient occlusion and lit with Mental Ray.
Artefact 2 is looking at whether allowing the viewer to move around the model themselves is a useful 3D technique to use in the architectural visualisation industry. The building is of Norman Bel Geddes restaurant design and was modeled in 3Ds Max. To view the model on Sketchfab visit the link below:
In this artefact it is comparing whether having a model in an environment is an aid to understanding the scale and design of the building. The model in this artefact is of Norman Bel Geddes restaurant design built in 3Ds Max, textured with ambient occlusion and lit with Mental Ray.
